Craig’s Place is an immaculate lodge situated on the pristine Highland Gate Golf & Trout Estate, nestled in the spectacular Steenkampsberg Mountain Range. A charming 14km drive from the village of Dullstroom, the focus is not only on the championship level golf course but also the wealth of leisure activities the estate offers, including hiking trails, fly fishing, mountain biking, picnicking, and bird watching our guests can enjoy during their stay.
Stylish Country Living
The lodge is a collection of fine finishes, promising to be the ultimate adult retreat and is therefore not suited to hosting children. On rainy days the central fireplace invites you to cozy up with a good bottle of red and on sunny days the spectacular view will entice you to enjoy sundowners on the private deck.
Home Away From Home
The Highland Gate estate spans 700 hectares of which only 30 percent will be developed - the remainder of the property has been left for guests to enjoy nature at its best. The architecture of the lodge, designed to embrace the surroundings is positioned to hero both the scenic beauty, and spectacular 4th & 5th holes of the Ernie Els signature golf-course. The unobstructed views leaves little to the imagination and is therefore not pet friendly.
SOIRÉE PACKAGES
Soirée weekend packages will include entertainment by either music or dance artists, ranging from crooners to ballet pas de deux’s and will be hosted in the expansive, upstairs, private studio, boasting unrivaled views. Price per head will include tapas styled catering, making for a memorable occasion.
YOGA STUDIO
The extensive lodge designed as a yoga/dance retreat has an exclusive upstairs studio and private accommodation for the instructor accessed via the garage. These areas will be demarcated as ‘Private’ so as to avoid any confusion and to ensure our guests privacy is respected at all times. Guests are welcome to book a private session or join any group session for an additional fee.
